Do you use a heat protectant when under a hooded dryer?

Just wondering if this step is necessary . . . I plan to dry after applying some leave-in and then using a shower cap . . . do I still need a heat protectant?

great question. I spray some on if I'm gonna roller set. But I was wondering if I protect hanging hair under the dryer?

I use a lil heat-protectant serum before using my bonnet dryer. I apply it after I've applied my moisturizer and coconut oil.

I always use a heat protectant when I rollerset. I normally use CHI Silk Infusion I think my leave-in states that its a heat protectant as well.

I do. :yep: Even when I use the Pibbs which I set very cool.

Same here! I have a Pibbs and I spray a heat protectant on when I rollerset. I just feel more at ease b/c I use purple and gray rollers and the ones on the top of my head are very close to the fan sometimes...

Why is a heat protectant necessary for rollersets and other styles when under a hooded dryer but not for deep conditioning treatments??

I have started using Nexxus Heat protectx spray or Paul Mitchell Seal and Shine over my rollers. I see a difference

I do too. I use either chi silk infusion or biosilk or mizani thermastrength. I have all three so I alternate although I like my chi silk infusion the most.
