after all of the moisturizers and leaves ins and such?

I put on a moisturizer and leave in or mix them on my hair which always contain some oil. AFter that, is a heat protetant neccesary for if I'm gonna go under the dryer or blow dry? What is a heat protectant made of anyway?

i think if the moisturizer specifies that it can be used from protecting your hair against the heat, then you may not need an additional one. i guess it depends on how much you use. i dunno what the heat protectant is though. i remember my chemistry teacher said that silk proteins are somewhat heat resisting polymers, who knows?
