do you think this style is possible for me to achieve?

Well my hair is growing pretty fast so I think I'm going to be needing a cut for style soon. I've just been getting trims at my regular salon. The girl who does my hair is WONDERFUL but I don't know if I can trust her to give my 3c hair a cut for STYLE. I was asking her about haircuts for curly hair and she said I shouldn't do it because it would just make it poofier. She said I should just grow it all out to one blunt length because then it will weigh itself down. I don't know about this because I remember my hair was like that when I was younger and it was just one gigantic poof of spiral curls...and that is not a look I want to revisit.

Here is a picture of my hair:

Now do you think this is possible? If so does anyone know of any salons in ATL that can help me achieve this look when it gets to that length?

I'm getting the same error too.

Hair goal for 2006: Maybe 2-3 more inches and thick, healthy
nourished hair.
Current hair length: 2 inches past brastrap (when blown out straight)

I can see both pics.:)
I'm not an expert on curly hair, but it seems like you can achieve this style with little effort. Her hair looks as if it has long layers, but the key to this style is to make sure that the curls/spirals are pieced apart. They probably used a styling pomade for the curls.

I agree...I don't think you'll have any problem achieving that look!

Good luck!

I agree with Kitchentician. Contrary to what your stylist advised, a blunt cut would give your hair an unflattering triangular shape. Layers are definitely the way to go. When I BC'd, I gave my hair a layered cut for this very reason, and it hasn't failed me yet, no matter what style I undertake.
