Well IMO, I don't see nothing wrong with getting braids if you have highlights......will you wash and deep condition with the braids in? I don't think the braids will make the highlights break off, now if you don't take care of the hair while braided and it dries out, then I could see the highlights breaking off.....but I mean if you take care of your hair, then it should be ok......HTH..

Yep, it should be okay as long as you keep your hair deep conditioned and moisturized.

ITA with all of the above, keep those braids well moisturised and they should be fine.

How do you moisturize and deep condition braids?

I have been doing the crown and glory method.
I will wash my braids every other day, i spray leave in conditioner on my scalp (isoplus 24/7) and spray infusium23 on the length of the braids.

I have attached the link for you, the only product i used that was recommended on the site was the infusium23 (brown bottle)

I deep condition as normal with either ORS or cathy howse UBH conditioner under my hooded dryer for 30 mins.
