for about 4 months . I have them in now and I got the hair to feel very very soft and moisterized by weekly washing and conditioning. I did the twists myself and I just was wonderind if after 2 months, I was to just redo them in portions at a time over a period of 2 days so that I dont have to walk around with half of my hair undone like I used to.

This will be my regime during the 4 months..
Wash and condition weekly(deluted AOGBP)
Better braids braid spray and Infusium leave in daily.

This might sound nasty to yall but I plan on using the same hair that I have in my hair now since it is sooo soft and I feel the I would protect my hair better than if it was hard and brittle like it was when I first got it.

Thanks Ladies!!

Like with regular box braids, you shouldn't leave them in for that long. Your hair will begin to lock up and get matted. Just leave it in within the recommended time and take it out so your hair can "rest" up and you can deep condition with protein conditioners.

Ditto, you shouldn't leave them in that long, it can be damaging to your hair, I had mine in for 6 weeks tops, and the hair that was added in broke my own hair off, and I moisturized twice a day....so be careful, but 4 months is to long for any protective hairstyle...

I had mine in for 3 months with no problems... I always leave my braids/micros/kinky twists in for about that amount of time. It looked like a lot of shedded hair when I took them out but I had to remind myself that I hadn't combed my hair in 3 months. I have thick hair that can take a lot of abuse. I just refuse to pay $160 for a style and take it out in 4-6 weeks. I want my money's worth!
