This thought came to me because this is supposed my second wash day of the week. It's rainy, my scalp feels fine, I don't feel like fooling with it today but it's apart of my reggie to do it on Wednesday. So do you go with what your hair and scalp seem to want or do you go with what you've set in stone as your reggie?

I typically do what my hair tells me to do; I am currently making changes to my routine because my hair is telling me to ixnay the o-washingcay.

Cute poll! I guess I would run the reggie - but what about those who need to kinda stick to a reggie? Do we run around the reggie?:ohwell:

lol nope I think it's good for people to stick to one, personally my hair does better when I do but sometimes I just... don't wanna lol and today I didn't which means I run the reggie for now lol unless I cave later and do it anyway.

I run the reggie. I do to my hair what I want alot of times and most of the tell its nothing. I keep it very simple to the point of if it takes longer then 3 to 5 minutes to do it probably wont get done very often.

In the beginning though, the reggie ran me until I truly learned my hair. Less is more.

I Voted "I Run the Regi" I usually plan my Regimen weeks in advance:yep: At least 'the steps'.

I may change the products but the steps remain the same.

I RUN THIS SONNNN!!!!!! lol unfortunately it leaves me looking a lil rough at times but my hair is happiet in the end. If I messed with my hair everytime it needed a new style or something I would be bald. My fine strands require patience and I dont always have it, so I wait till im ready to do my hair.

I do whatever my hair tells me to do at a given time and we get along just fine; heck half the time i feel like my hair doesn't even want to be bothered with me.

I'd have to honestly say that my reggie runs me. I'm the type of person that needs a regular routine/structure or I'll fall off the wagon. With my current regimen my hair is thriving and I'm very much committed to my HHJ, so when it's time to wash, I wash; when it's time to DC, I DC, and so on...

The reggie runs me.

I get better growth/retention when I follow it.

When I slack off, my hair does notice. lol

I run my reggie b/c I listen to my hair. If it feels dirty than I'll wash it even if it's ahead of "schedule". If my hair feels moisturized I won't moisturize. It's all what my hair tells me not what I tell my hair.

The reggie runs me. I know how I am. I will get lazy in a quick minute but if I want to be serious about having long hair I know I'd better stick to
my schedule. :look:

My reggie runs me. I know I am gonna be too lazy without some kinda plan/schedule but it's not really strict. If I need to DC a day earlier, I'll accommodate for that and switch my schedule around. If I need something else, I'll switch around again.

...On second thought, I guess it's a combo of both.

I run my reggie. If Im scheduled to wash and dc and I don't feel like it. I don't and I don't feel guilty about it either. Theres always tomorrow. If it's time to wash and set, but my friends or dh want to go and I do to, reggie will just have to wait.

When I first started my hhj I was very strick about wash days and dcing. Now I'm just keeping it simple and letting it go how it goes.

I put that I run the reggie...but honestly.....
I have to say WHAT reggie?:ohwell:

I wash weekly and DC or co-wash as needed...so um...I basically listen to my HAIR (My HAIR RUNS ME really), and give it what it needs..whether its protein, a trim, DC, clarifying...whatever it wants (my wash days are never really exactly the same)....so ummmm basically, my hair is spoiled really....:lachen:

I'm officially on a personal "Let the Reggie Run Me" Challenge until the end of the year!

Right now, my reggie is running me! But it was planned that way for the next few months until October-this is a test run to see if I step up the reggie, what my results will be...but that's OK for now, cause in a few months I'm taking over again!!!!:yep:

I voted for *I run the reggie*. When I was learning about all these healthy hair practices a few months ago, I let the reggie run me and kept getting frustrated :wallbash:. My hair started improving when I dropped the strict reggie and listened to what my hair wants. The only strict reggie I have is shampoo and DC 2x weekly cos the hurr loves it :lick:. But I've stopped over-planning and micro-managing everything to the last detail. Now instead of looking at my hair timetable to tell me what to do, I harvest a shed hair, do a strand test and let that inform what i do...
