When do you prefer to moisturize your hair?

Do you prefer to do it at night? And why?

I use to do it at night but now im starting to do it during the day time because at night no matter what I put on my hair, I would find it on my silk pillow and my sheets. Also, I think a few of the products are responsible for giving me acne.

right now im rocking a wig so im moisturizing both at night and in the morning. in the a.m. i use a light spray moisturizer and a heavier cream at might.

LexiDior

This was an issue for me as well. I have acne prone skin and I SWEAR by baggying at night. It has been the only thing to keep products off my face and off my sheets.

I moisturize at night as well. I used to moisturize in the morning, but I noticed that my moisturizers would remove all the curl from my twistouts/braidouts. It didn't matter if it was a spray or a cream my hair would look like a big ole fro after moisturizing. So now I just enjoy my hairstyles during the day and moisturize at night.

I do it at night for the same reason LexiDior mentioned – sleeping on a “moisturized” pillowcase leads to more acne outbreaks, especially on my cheeks.

At night, so it can absorb. I tie it up with my silk scarf. Something about some moisturizer and a scarf will fix practically any frizziness for me

I am learning know to moisturize at night. It works better for me than moisturizing during the day, because my hair has a chance to absorb all the moisture it needs over night. I use minimal products and seal with a few drops of oil. The key is to pull the hair back, and tuck those ends under so it doesn't mess up on my pillows or sheets. I always finish off by tying my hair up twice; with a silk scarf and a du-rag on top.

Always at night, but I will add a moisturizing spray or some hair butter to the ends as extra protection if I will be out in the heat and/or sun. I like moisturizing at night best...hair is smooth, soft, and frizz has been tamed by the time morning comes. I often put a towel over my pillowcase to protect my pillow in case any oil or moisturizer seeps through my satin scarf.

I also air dry at night with my hair loose and a scarf tied over the front, and when it is wet I just use an old, really big, thick satin scarf to cover my pillow. It keeps my hair right (the cotton from a towel would take the moisture away from my ends when air drying loose), but also keeps the pillow from absorbing oil, wetness, and/or product. I too am acne prone, but I have no issues using the towel and old scarf over my pillow.

During the week, I m&s at night so that I can baggy. On the weekends if I'm going somewhere ill do it in the morning.

I usually moisturize at night because I wont have to worry that the moisture I just put in will have to compete with the weather elements. Sometimes I will moisturize right before I style in the morning too, especially if it will be particularly cold/hot, I'm wearing a protective style, and/or my hair feels particularly dry.

When I'm using moisturizer, time is irrelevant. I moisturize after I wash my hair regardless of the time so I can have slip to comb it; and I moisturize again after my hair dries because with S Curl (only moisturizer I use when wearing my hair loose) once water from the wash dries, hair feels dry. After this second moisturizing, I don't moisturized again until the day I wash my hair.

So I moisturize twice on wash day regardless of the time and I don't do it again until next wash day.

I don't worry about product getting on my face coz I baggy every night.

Depends on how I am styling my hair. If straight at night before wrapping it. If curly then in the morning after cowash.

Either. I only do it as needed, not regularly. If my hair feels dry when im styling it in the morning or getting ready for bed, i moisturize.

At night. But lately I've done it in the morning because I was too lazy to do it the might before. I prefer night because I have more time to sit and do it right.
