that using one product line for your hair has significant benefits?

For me mos,def.

But sometimes I think it is all in my mind, like the placebo effect:lol: . I am constantly trying to make order and consistency in my life (lists and such) and this is one of the way I can contribute to this. I am such a type B personality lol.

I think it depends, i plan on using one product line one day. OT, but what relaxer did u use before you transitioned brwnsuga?

Nah, I think you can mix it up and still get great benefits.
I agree with Supergirl!

By the way Bublnbrnsuga... Your hair is beautiful in your signature pics!

I haven't been on theone product challenge long, so I don't know about growth. I do know that it is alot easier to buy from one brand then trying to figure compatible product combinations. Less experimentation, less hair trauma, more hair, maybe.

Deep down, I have always ALWAYS wondered this.

I keep telling myself that one day I will just use ONE product line. But I notice that some products from a line will do something/help my hair in a way that no other product line can. Or, I'll see that I like the shampoo or conditioner from one line, but not the relaxer or setting lotion. I mean...it's crazy! LOL*

I don't think there's anything wrong with using different products from different product lines, but I HAVE wondered if some products are made to work better within their product line.

Has anyone ever tried doing this with significant results??

Umm, where do I begin?! I used Affirm, Design Essentials (THE BOMB RELAXER, IMO), Precise and Soft and Lively.

I use one line the majority of the time to shampoo and condition, but I have other lines that I will mix in. I have become a convert of clarifying with an ACV rinse every few weeks.

In terms of other products I do stick with only one brand until I find something cheaper that works just as well :) or more expensive that works better. I prefer finding the cheaper alternative :ohwell:

yehh definately! too many different products can confuse the hair

ITA. I noticed that when I used several different products my hair was dry. One day my hair would have mega curls then the next day just dead. :nono: It wasn't that I was having "A Bad Hair Day" either.

I've focused on using only Paul Mitchell products. My hair had thrived so well off of this. :woot: My hair is soft, manageable, and I have more curl definition. :yep: I also use WGO 3 times a week.

For me, using 1 line didn't make a difference...( I was using Motions when I was relaxed)
besides, I'll get bored with the same products...
I luv variety!!

Nah, I think as long has you are using "good" products, whether it's the same line or not, if they interact well with each other without a problem. The true benefit is from how you actually handle the hair.

Nah...I have yet to find one line where my hair truly benefits from ALL of the products they offer. Motions for example...love the leave in, the conditoner, and the shampoo...but the CPR tratment and the moistruizer sucks. Exeprienced the same with Biolage...
