Do you know how to do extension twists?

Can you braid with extensions? If so, all I do when I do twist with extensions in my hair is to start braiding the hair down 2 or 3 times then adding one section of the three bits of hair to another and start twisting. Not everyone starts by braiding first some twist straight away. I hope that this make sense. Also try You Tube as there are few tutorials on there.
