Cybra that would depend on how much you take. If you are only taking about 1 mg then once i probably fine. I take anywhere from 7.5 to 12 mg so I have to spread my dosage out so it won't get flushed out all at once.
It's water-soluble and theoretically, it works better if you spread the dose throughout the day...2 or 3x is the norm. However, what I have found is that biotin is a water-soluble which you can manipulate a lot depending on your individual tastes and goals.
I take 5mg in a single dose in the morning. In the past, I've spread out the dose by 2 and even done a single dose at night to get maximum results. Various dosage and intake schemes work with biotin..to answer your question directly.
