Do you get less tangles, knots, and dreading when you trim you ends?

YES the better you take care of you'r ends the better you will be able to take care of you'r hair, and the sharper the scissors the better the trim, use these scissors for trimming hair nothing else.

Yes, b/c they can get tangled on each other more. After growing out an short haircut and I just chopped off about 3 inches 2 months ago and my hair looks and feels much better. I wouldn't say uneven ends is the sole cause of those issues, but it does exacerbate the issue.

I haven't trimmed or cut in about two years, Qualitee (what you doing in here anyway? )

My biggest problem is combing through the MASSES of hair... no problems with knotting or whatever... but if I don't comb through my hair every couple of days, that can be a problem...

My hair starts to "bound"...

I am a very infrequent trimmer, but I don't have any of the problems listed in your thread title. For me, it is important to detangle my hair once per week and to keep my ends moisturized.

I barely ever trim, maybe once a year. My hair is very uneven but I find that knots, tangles, and "dreads" are caused by combing infrequently and not removing shed hair. Also, some tangles are inevitable with coily hair.

Yup when your ends are not moisturized and healthy. I'm having knots galore over here. It's really time for a trim, but I'm scared as hell. I wish I had a LHCFer to dust it for me. Hmm I just might know just the person now that I think about it....

Yup , i trim or dust my ends about twice a year . i beleive in that always have, relaxed or natural. i just dusted my hair saturday , and did it one curl at a time ! lol took me an hour that was the first time i did it with dry hair . i trim my hair wet usually. my hair always looks and feels better after a trim

Yes, if I don't trim periodically, the low-mani reggie is nearly impossible for me and I take good care of my ends. It doesn't take a big chop, just a good 1/8 to 1/4 inch every relaxer (normally 8-9 weeks). I've tried skipping the trim and this causes me to have more problems in the longrun.
