Do you forget how long your hair is?

My hair is a bottom bra-strap now, but I dont' think of my hair as being long either because the sides are so much shorter. I can't seem to get back into the bun thing, cause I've gotten so vain that I like wearing my hair down. This week I had it up, cause of this crazy wet weather here in MI and I have to say that this morning it did seem longer to me, cause I hadn't wore it down in a couple of days. I got a digital camera this x-mas so I'll try to take more pics.

Ballet_Bun, I've been meaning to tell you, your hair is getting so long! Whatever you're doing, keep on doing it girl.
Co-signing!! Look at those loooong ponytails!!

I don't even know how long my hair is. I haven't worn it straight since August 2004 and it was past my bra clasp then. I've been wearing protective styles (phony pony, braids, braidout, bun) since then. I guess I will finally find out how long it is after I get my relaxer in February.

Oh yeah, definitely! I have serious shrinkage, so I sometimes find myself getting frustrated because it seems as if my hair is not growing. I wear my hair in twists most of the time, and I am always surprised when I undo the twists and stretch a section of my hair.

Since I'll never really know until I get my hair flat-ironed, I just keep it in the back of my mind that my hair is longer than it appears and I really do "forget" about it, on purpose.

yes! i remember I wore my natural hair in protective styles for about a year. I took and it down and had it straightened for a school dance and it grew from my collarbone to near bra-strap. When the hair dresser straightened the back a piece of hair fell over my shoulder and I just remember thinking "daaaaaaaaaaaamn! my hair grew!"
