Is it just me, or is anyone else a little loathe to mention the names of products so good they're the Holy Grail for hair. I used to get all excited and then I would stop and think that if word got out, maybe it would be
sold out when I needed it. Maybe the price would go up! Maybe PJs the nation over would cause a shortage! :spinning: :lachen:

That kind of momentary panic attack has stopped me from mentioning a
product at least once. Anyone else...?

Nope, not me I love sharing the wealth! I love giving my friends and family product recommendations (even though I know that since most of my staples are found online they will probably not bother to purchase). My mom on the other hand makes it her business to find out what I'm using and then instructs me to buy her some!!

If I lived in an area with a ton of LHCF members I would have to stockpile before I started broadcasting the news...I already know how ya'll do..:look:

Anyway,it seems like every product I love has already been discontinued or I have to search high and low for it so it does make me less likely to mention it to others.I figure I must be the only person who likes most of the things I buy anyway b/c they aren't very popular)

nah im not worried. 98% of the products i use have been broadcasted prior to me using so its not a big deal.

Well think of it this way: If the word gets out and more people use the product, then you have less chance of it being discontinued ;)

Elledoll, I'm right there with you! Most of the time I will mention stuff on here because I really don't think there are too many in my neck of the woods but then I get to thinking "what about lurkers?" I do a lot of online shopping though, so not too worried. But let something be sold out. Those dayum cuzins!

KCcurly, I never looked at it that way! Very good point.

My hoarding is different. I hoard products in case I go broke one day. I know that sounds crazy but I buy bottles and bottles of stuff to keep on hand in case I can't buy it, too sick to get out and buy it or a hurricane comes through and shipments can't get to the stores. I know...I'm crazy like that. In my fridge I have oils waiting to be mixed next month!:ohwell:

I knew it wasn't just me!

I have mostly cured myself of this thinking because of KCcurly's logic. Also, I think that if something becomes common enough, the price might actually come down because of overstocking. Then there would be great things like clearance sales. :lick:

Still, though, I sometimes wonder if this is a contributing factor to PJism.

I've been hoarding lately. I'll have to take a pic of my henna and con stash. But I think of it more as keeping myself stocked since I go through some things like water.
