Do you clean your steamer?

Hi Ladies:
I was wondering if anyone periodically runs a vinegar mix through their steamer to clean it? As in putting water and vinegar in the reservoir and turning the unit on. I wondered about this since I've had my steamer for a few months and I don't want any build up to occur, but I haven't done it myself. Also, the instructions I have don't make any cleaning recommendations. Thanks in advance for you responses.

I've had mine for 2 years and never cleaned it. I use it at least once a month foe 30 mins at a time.

I've done this one time with my table top steamer. It was acting a little funny one day and I could see the buildup on the metal, so I just heavily diluted the vinegar and let it sit for a few minutes. I did not turn the machine on.

It took care of the buildup immediately.

I have not had to do this with my stand up steamer but I haven't owned it long.
I do, however use it several times a month between DD, her friend and myself.
