So I was looking on ebay and noticed that peolpe sale hair care on there for cheap. the prices aren't dirt cheap but they are alot cheaper than at a local store. I was just wondering how many of ya'll get haircare on ebay

ETA: I've bought henna on ebay and it was cheap and great!!! It cost me $5.50 for 100 grams of rajasthani henna and that price included shipping.

i have with no problems. I try to use ebay only when i already have a product so ill be able to tell if there is a difference in consistency or smell and of course, looking at the seller's feedback is always important.

Though they're not supposed to, some people may work at salons and such and use their discount to purchase the items and sell for a cheaper price. Others, not so sure. I trust those with really good ratings, as in 99.9%, nothing less. I like to buy from sellers who make their own stuff more so, especially on etsy.com

That's a big trust issue right there, but I have had luck with different sellers.

I've purchased lots of hair products on ebay as well as my flat iron, hair steamer and blow dryer and never had a problem...I agree with the other poster..check the sellers feedback and how long they've been a member before buying

I buy everything on Ebay. I just found a liter of DevaCare NoPoo for $20. I do agree with the poster on trying to buy something that I'm familiar with so that way I know if it's not what it's supposed to be.

I just checked that site out...cool site!
I've bought A LOT of things off Ebay. Recently I bought the Sedu 1 1/2 inch flat iron (with UK plug)...it was the only one I could find so I had to get it. I've bought Aubrey Organics shampoo's and conditioners, Aphogee, organic and natural butters, essential oils, Vatika Oil, Den's products , hair accessories, Denman brushes, etc.
The only product I've bought from Ebay that I'm a bit worried about is Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide. The seller has 100% feedback, but :perplexed...you never know. I can't compare it another bottle because I've never bought it before.
Other than this, I love Ebay and will continue to shop for hair products there.

I always check eBay before spending money anyplace else. I just won and received some WEN Tea Tree condish. I always check the feedback and so far I've never been disappointed.

Great Thread :yep:

I've always wanted to buy hair products on ebay, but I was skeptical. Now I know what to look for, thanks!

I always check the feedback as well but even that has its flaws
The only hair product that I bought was some Nature's Blessing Hair Pomade

Got a good deal on it but d@mn, the shipping was slow :wallbash:

no i dont trust it. i barely trust amazon but i went ahead and ordered from them but ebay.....:nono::nono:. just cant see myself. im afraid.

I bought a Denman on Ebay a while back because it was a model not found in Sally's. I'm sure it was a knockoff because I already had a different model. It had loose plastic and was nowhere near seemless. I ended up throwing it out.:perplexed

i am an avid ebayer but i buy most of my hair stuff at the store just cause i hate shipping charges (and love instant gratification), but i DID buy some shea butter up there for a lot cheaper than other sites people recommended. like others have said check the feedback.

its not that serious. i go to bss for my supply
Yes it is.The deals on ebay are GREAT if you look and have some luck. I got 13 tubes of nexxus biotin creme for my edges for $27. It retails for about $13.

Most BSS around where I live are pretty expensive. In addition to that MOST don't allow returns or exchanges. This is a problem when you buy the "professional" product that they are not supposed to be selling. Atleat you can see that person's rating before you buy.

I buy my moisturizer from ebay, SheaMoisture Shea Butter Leave in conditioner. I haven't had any problems. I get it from the same vendor from ebay each time. Just be sure to check the feedback.

I only get products that I've tried before. So if it smells different, is more watery, etc, I know it's not the real thing. But that hasn't ever happened though, thank goodness!

I also make sure the seller is a ''Power Seller'', their positive feedback has to be 98% or higher and they have to have been an ebay seller for longer than two years :yep:

I have purchased several things from ebay and never had a problem with any of them and I always check the sellers feedback so I am good. Maybe I should looks for some OCT on there :yep:

I do, I just go with a reputable seller. I purchased all of my Aveda products from there as well as a few others. I saved a ton over what I would have spent at the salon.

I love Ebay. I think I am on there almost as much as LHCF. I purchase products on there all the time that are more expensive to buy locally like Redken Heat Glide or Chi Silk Infusion. I love when sellers sell items in lots so I can get alot more product for a low price. I also bought my flat iron from there. I check out Seller ratings and use Paypal for all my transactions. I usually receive my items in the mail faster than ordering from a website. I am waiting on some Chi Silk Infusion to arrive right now. My mailman can definitely tell when I get paid. LOL.

I think this is a great thread question and im glad to read the feedback. i have always been skeptical of ebay too because when i bought UGGS or a North Face coat, they were both fake :ohwell:. I might need to check them out again.
