Do we always need to seal after moisturizing?

Is it was if it's neccesary to use an oil or serum if you're using an oil or 'cone filled moisturizer or leave in? You'd think the oil or con content in the moisturizer would be good enough... I add alot of coconut oil to my Elasta Qp Recovery moisturizer and I just started trying to use Rusk leave in to seal but is this good enough? What are your ladies opinions?

I typically seal my leave-ins with oil or serum. I use Rusk Smoother too along with my other post wash leave-ins, and I seal them with WGO. And I seal NTM Silk Touch which is loaded with cones and oils with either the NTM serum or Africa's Best oil. The only time I seal with leave-ins with another leave-in is when I use QB Alma & Olive Heavy cream since the 1st ingriedients are oils. I would definitely say do what works for your hair, but I know my hair is hooked on moisturizing and oiling.

I dont think ALWAYS. I only use hair serum after my leave-in and moisturizer if it's after a wash day. On the other days when I dont wash and just use a leave-in and S-curl for moisture I dont use any oil or serum. Oils coat the hair shaft so I'm afraid that too much oil will make it hard for moisture to get in.

Thats a good point about moisture not being able to get in if you seal too heavily...
