I seem to be getting some tangling now that I am using CH Dew. I like Dew, but I don't want the tangling. Any suggestions?

I've had this problem, which is why had to stop using surge even though I loved it, I know surge 14 isn't really a moisturizer. I've also had to stop using different types of hair lotions because the water in them would tangle my fine 4a/b hair, and after a short while it would end up feeling dry.

I now use oils to moisturized my hair or Carols daughter Healthy hair butter or Carol's Daughter Marguerite's Magic. I wanted to try the dew because I believe it has some stimulating properties in it. I am now going through the process of purchasing different essential oils to make up my own concoction to stimulate my scalp, in order to aid in growth. I may also be adding some of them to my conditioners and shampoos.

Hey Mel -

I used to use the Dew for a year and a half when I first got on the road to better hair care...my hair was primarily braided and was great for moisture...but I found I could just use my World of Curls for that purpose. It didn't tangle my hair - just made it curl up.

I've found now that my hair agrees with water/oil based moisturizers now, so I'll stick with these three - Surge Woojee Cream, BB Oil Moisturizer w/Castor Oil & Aloe and Mango Butter.

Does your hair agree with a moisturizer with oil?

UBH Moisturizer is also an excellent moisturizer that is mineral oil free - you just have to order online though.

I am considering the UBH moisturizer. I do like the dew, except for when I get the tangles. It's not really bad. But I don't like my strands sticking together.

Your hair is lovely Mel. What about just using a serum to run through your hair and ends? Or do you feel you need something heavier?

Hopefully there will be more suggestions if that's the case. I hope u find something that works.
