Do protein treatments make the hair frizzy?

My hair doesnt seem as smooth after i do protein treatments, even if it is well moisturized after. Am I doing smthg wrong?

You probably are not rinsing it out well.

when you moisturized after protein treatment, are you talking about like a cream moisturizer that you put on and leave in or are you talking about a moisturizing conditioner that you leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse out? After any protein treatment you should follow up with a moisturizing conditioner, I like silk elements it's cheap and it gives great slip! A moisturizing conditioner normalizes hair and detangles, it restores moisture back into strands because although protein strenghtens hair it can also rob it of moisture. So maybe you should follow your protein treatments with a moisturizing conditioner that you RINSE out. Good luck!

I experienced this with Aphogee's treatments - you really need to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner - I like the Dominican ones and Suave Humectant.
