I would just like to say how amazing God is. I was having trouble with some people in my life and He has just removed them from my inner circle. One of them confronted me and I was even able to be honest about my reservations without being vindictive even though this person was quite mean. So I would like to encourage everyone to keep the faith even when people are horrible to you and to not seek to hurt them even though it does not seem fair because God will avenge. God is AMAZING!

It's the 'wolves' who come into the Church who seek out the precious lambs to 'devour' them.

Be encouraged, for you have overcome them. You have the beauty and love within you that will never die. God is watching over you, protecting, avenging you... Please Loved one, be encouraged.

Thanks OP. It's like that message is following my lately. I usually don't take revenge, but I have an event upcoming in which I anticipate there might be some negativity from someone who has hurt me in the pass and may try to damage my reputation again to protect their status. I've been wrestling with the "if they ever do such and such, I'm going to expose them in the worst way" feeling. Can't tell you how many messages including this thread I've heard on revenge and bitterness over the past 3 days.

I'm so greatful God doesn't leave me up to my own devices. Keeps sending the way of escape.

blqlady, I know how you feel. It will make you stronger if you keep responding God's way. Can't say it will be easy but you'll be the better for it and at the appointed time God will rise up and fight for you. It's a test, but you will pass through it.

Although we are called to love,forgive, and let God take vengeance; we are also told to be wise as serpeants and harmless as doves. We are to be discerning, wise, and yet harmless. "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." Matthew 10:16. We don't have to just stand there and let the enemy use people to destroy us. Reminds me of Saul and David. David ran for life when Saul tried to kill him. There are times when you must remove yourself from the person/people.

If I were weak of mind at the time I came into this forum and read this title as well as the other post on calling 7 women (do not seek a curse), I'd think it was referring to me and I know it's not cuz Deborah was a strong woman who didn't let crap slide around her. Be wise, but seek to do no harm is what is meant.
