Do not chop off my hair

good skin and hair
Hi girls

Heres my thing, I havent trimmed my here in about 2 years, I think it has finally caught up with me. I am loving my long hair, but I believe the tips of my ends are due for a trim. When I look closely at my ends, it appears to be tiny white bulbs.

My hair is in extremely good condition, in the process of growing out my hair the only form of heat I used was a hood dryer followed by a rollerwrap.

I want to keep as much as my lenghth possible, in other words I absolutely do not want short hair. I am deathly afraid of letting scissors anywhere near my hair. I need a trimmer that will only trim a teeny tiny amout on my ends. I am not willing to sacrifice the lenghth of my hair. Because the majority of my hair is healthy. I know I will have a breakdown if a stylist chops of my hair.

Anyway I need help from ya'll, does anyone here suggest any trimmers in Maryland, that trims your hair at a minimum.

Im hoping I can mend my ends without a trim, but I know thats only in my dreams.

All i can say is CUT IT GIRL. It's hair, IT WILL GROW BACK.
If your that afraid of losing any length, and your hair is very healthy, then just cut off a lil at a time. By the way, do you have any pictures??

How long is your hair?

I know that makes a difference sometimes in reducing the fear of the trims. For example, since my hair has been relatively long for the past 10 years, I don't do not stress out too much about getting a trim. I'd rather get a good trim - come home, see my ends and know they were trimmed well and no splits remain. Sometimes that might men a 1 inch trim vs. a .5 inch trim.

The thing is - it will grow back. If you haven't had a trim in 2 years, then you may need to get at least 1/2 inch trimmed.

Due to my fear of splits and loony hair choppers, I just 'won' a split-ender off of ebay. It cost me a total of $6.99 and that's WITH shipping!

I have had two significant trims thus far this year, so I do not believe I will need to trim any time soon. Thus, I will not be able to post results for a very long time. I will initially check it to see if it works at all, but doing a trim all over will not happen.

A lot of the posts here regarding the split-ender are what convinced me to give it a whirl. For $7, I think I will be okay if it doesn't meet my expectations. But imagine if it does, unless I am getting a few layers cut or need to even it up once I get to my goal length, I can pretty much say good bye to shs!

Try going to a SuperCuts or Fantastic Sam's. Everytime I get a trim there its always exactly what I wanted. Barbers give good trims too.
