Do deep conditioners penetrate through keratin treatments?

I dont have any problems with my dc. Did you do a wash after the treatment or CoWash?

You don't have to use BKT "kit" products exclusively, just avoid products w/sodium hydroxide. Yes, your hair still absorbs conditioners and other products w/BKT. As far as the Aphogee, I'm not really sure- that may be a bit too much protein. My hair only needed light protein and more moisture when I BKT'd. What makes you think your hair needs Aphogee? Are you having shedding/breakage issues? Is your hair felling mushy?

I shampooed a week later and followed w/my alter ego deep conditioner.

Like Eisani said I would try a light protein before I tried anything strong. My pre BKTed hair did not need much protein and now it only needs it(light protein) about once a month. When I say light I am talking about Aussie 3min (smooth) or Rusk deep shine Smooth Keratin Care Deep Penetrating Treatment(I think sally's has a GVP version that people like too). HTH

It feels very healthy, but it's still breaking a little when wet. Plus, my hair loves Aphogee. I just want to be careful b/c my hair feels so moisturized it's almost like I have S-curl in it.

Yea, I'd try a lighter protein before pulling out the big guns. A protein-enriched leave in may be a good option as well.
