Do any of you use Serums to protect your hair from extreme cold winter weather??

I'm thinking... if we use serum for extreme heat...should we do the same for extreme cold weather???

I don't know about products, but I definitely cover my hair anytime I'm outside (with my satin scarf and my hood). Sun exposure and extreme weather leads to wearing down of the hair cuticle over time.

I live in Canada and you know it gets really cold in here. I just step up my moisture regimen, and cover my hair a lot when outside.
