Ok here's the update for those who didn't want to read through the other one :lachen:
I've been in a bantu-twist out all week and must say this is must have for me. Got caught outside while raining &hot flashes:grin: but all it did was droop the curls. Normally I would be a puff with just the thought of rain.

There's a few peas in the kitchen but no where near what I would normally have. Here's a few pics to show the roots because you know that's where the truth is - alll around dem der roots

Just wanted to add that I used a mix of avocado, shea & almond butters on my hair every night becuase my hair is normally dry and didn't want to risk it, but it stayed smooth and silky. No problems yet ladies but then again it's a pre poo of wild honey, olive oil, sugar, cornstarch, lemon extract, vinegar, vitamin e, and essential oils. Unless you're allergic to honey I can't see a problem. Will try a roller set this weekend - to cold to go outside - I'll keep you posted.

That's good news, your hair looks great! And LOL at the hot flashes, I know what that's like, I call them my own personal summers! We need to see the roller set next

Looks pretty good, i checked in a lil on the first thread but i didnt stick around to find out the specifics of how the hair is straightened. how did you do it? after the application is there blow drying / flat ironing involed? when you wash does it revert? how long does it last ect.....?

Well the first time I followed the exact instructions; blow dry & flat iron, but that's not my normal procedure so this weekend I'll do an air dry with a few rollers and a flat iron just to see the difference. I only wash 1x a week - and I'll be doing this all winter hopefully when the SE heat & humidity hits I'll be good to go with my routine.

Thanks for the update 1babydimple. I'm curious to know how it works with a roller set on a natural head.

Hair looks good.

I promise to try a roller set weelllll ... kind of hard if you don't have rollers in the house. LOL I did find 1 flex rod and put in and to my surprise it came out pretty good. I guess that's my next purchase. I think I'll have to get quite a few packs I don't want to have to post another picture in the jacked up thread. LOLOL

Hair air dryed with the ORS olive oil lotion and the oil provided. It's just 1 curl but you can see the difference.

Yeah i notice the Janelle site ad right before it got ripped by Firefox! I hate ads lol.

Well I'm back in braids until March but I just wanted to add that the Virgin Coconut Hair Serum adds great shine and smell to your braids. All this week I got complements on how great my hair smelled. Has anyone else tried it with great results? Pictures please :)

did you try a wash and go??

:lachen:Honey I never could do a wash and go. I would have the #1 picture for the thread your head's a hot mess. :lachen::lachen:My hair does not like that at "tall me son" Back in the day when I was wearing a fro it took time to make it blow just right in the wind
Gots ta keep yo fro blowing just so. Angela Davis ain't had nothing on me.

I have Diva Smooth in my hair right now. I don't have any before pics, but I will let you ladies know how my hair turns out. BTW I have 4B hair and I'm transitioning.

Received my package yesterday and plan on using it this fri or sat on 15 wks of new growth and will yay or nay it then.

I tried it, it's o.k. it more so defined my new growth then anything else. I plan on trying it a few more times until i empty the bottle to see if it's worth repurchasing.

I tried it for the first time last week on my natural 4a hair.

It was sticky but that didnt bother me till it started dripping and sticking to the skin behind my ears.

I think there should be some contact info that comes with the product and instrutions. If not a phone # than at least an email address for questions.

The directions did not mention anything about using a heat protectant and I'm still not clear if the serum is meant to protect against heat.

I applied the product on damp cowashed hair. I think I used half the bottle for my hair that's between shoulder and APL at last check.

I left it on close to 2 hrs under a cap. I rinsed cowashed and conditioned my hair before blow drying.

I applied the serum, flat ironed and had a nice press. But of course that is what happens when you use heat.

My husband commented on how nice my hair came out. It had body and held he curl from the flat iron. i was pleased.

at night I applied a bit more serum and wrapped my hair. I noticed my hair seemed dry and the strands separated feeling almost like like hay.

The next day i put my hair up in a bun and that night I applied AO HSR and did two twists for the night.

I think the product gave me a nice press but I don't think it did anything for my problematic dryness.

I believe somewhere in the original thread the owner gave contact info. I wrote it down if find it I'll post. The oil is really light I too had to apply my jojoba mix to keep my hair from drying out. I was happy because it gave me the option of a good blow dry or a nice press. Relaxer - not so much, maybe it's cumulative process like coconut & lime. I only used it 2x. (1/2 a bottle each x) Pre-poo and con yes.
