I've been thinking about getting some distilled water to use in my Ayurvedic mixes but I have doubts....

Ladies who use distilled water, please weigh in.

Does distilled water really make a difference?

Is it better or does it have the same results as filtered water?

If you use it, how and when do you use it? (E.g, only for DC, final rinse, etc.)

TIA

It sure does!

Whenever I go to Vegas to visit my mum, I have to buy two big jugs of distilled water because the hard water kills my hair. I use it to wash and rinse the conditioner from my hair and it stays moisturized during my whole visit.

i use aloe vera in my ayurvedic mixes, but definitely use only distilled water in my final rinse.
like CaliDiamond says, i've noticed my hair stays softer and more moisturized longer.
it's also become much more shiny!

I use distilled water for all of my 'vedic mixes. Def leaves hair softer. If smog/air quality isn't an issue in your region, rainwater is an even softer alternative.
