Does everyone just use a towel on their pillowcases to keep them clean? I sleep with a slip on my head (very smooth) and a scarf on top, but I still put towels on my pillow to keep all the butters, and oils off.

Everyone has such luscious hair, how do you keep that lusciousness from ruining your linens? /images/graemlins/sleeping.gif

A silk scarf is all I use. I did notice that my cellopane was taking a toll on my linens but after the first wash I was fine. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can't imagine having my face touching a towel all night though.

I don't use anything special. They make plastic covers for pillows, for allgeries, but the linen would still get stains.

I might have to try it...I noticed that the oils from my hair was dripping onto the pillow case therefore making my skin breakout. I do sleep in a silk or satin scarf though.

1/2 of my face broke out last week after I got hair grease in my pillowcases. I'd put too much melted Surge UltraMax on my scalp, and it soaked through my scarf onto the pillows.

I've changed the linen and started wearing a plastic cap over my oily hair each night until the next time I wash it.

I'm just going through changes over here.

I stopped moisturizing my hair as much because it would leave my pillowcase looking greasy. The moisture and oils would even go through my silk and satin scarf that I wear at night.

I thought I was the only one who wondered about this Dirty Pillowcase Thing. I would wake up some mornings with my pillowcase looking like I poured oil right on it rather than through my hair.../images/graemlins/sleeping.gif /images/graemlins/whyme.gif
oh well...the sacrifice must be made for beautiful hair!!

If my hair is too oily, I put on a plastic cap under my scarf. I'm with Jennifer, though--the idea of sleeping with a towel touching my face doesn't sound appealing /images/graemlins/nono.gif

If you have a little Jack Daniels before bed, you'll never even know you're sleeping on a towel.

I've tried using a plastic cap under my scarf...the thing still leaked...maybe I'm putting too much on my hair but my hair needs it... /images/graemlins/frown.gif

my hair doesnt really like oil and i don't put any in it unless i'm deep conditioning with olive oil overnight.then i have to use extra towels. but i try to put my cremes/scurl on my head in the morning or during the day. by night my hair has totally aborbed it whereas i don't have to worry about my saturating my silk pillowcase.

Sounds like you're my kind of girl!! LOL that is funny!

I change my pillowcases almost every other day, if not my face will break out from the oils. My pillows and cases are cotton, so it's almost as if I'm using a towel anyway.
