Dipilatories for the "kitchen"

Anyone use dipilatory cream on their kitchen to keep it from being "on fire"? I used to just use a razor, but found that on the back of my neck it'd be red, and leave razor bumps. The d cream seems to help, but i'm always afraid it'll get on the rest of my hair:eek:

How do YOU keep your kitchen from "catching on fire"???

I have done this before. It can leave bumps, too. Not as much as shaving, but there still is a chance. Girl, I gave up on keeping my kitchen looking neat. ;)

Anyway you could put your hair up and then put on a plastic cap to cover the parts that you don't want the cream to touch. Just be careful when you remove the plastic cap.

You could also get someone else to put it on for you.

have you tried getting it waxed? i know it may sound weird, but i get mine done every 6 weeks & it has been growing in finer since i've been doing it. i broke out the 1st time i waxed, but after that it's been great. i would recommend trimming before getting it waxed, so it hurts less.

I'm confused. How does a DC cream keep it from being on fire? Fire from what?

I thought she meant irritated from shaving.

I do. I have been doing it for years. There are products made for facial hair treatment that is not as harsh. I use a Sally Hansen Facial Hair Remover Product to do my kitchen. Just don't use alot. You can retreat several times with the products made for the face.

Add me to the confused:confused:

i thought she was talking about how facial depilatories can sometimes irriate/burn & she wanted to use something to get rid of the peach fuzz, baby hair on the back of her neck or 'kitchen' area. now, i'm curious to see if she meant something different:lol:

I'd never do that...I just have the beautician touch it up with clippers, or if its too long ..I just cut it with scissors. Maybe you could try that instead..but be sure to tie your hair up b/c I know I cut a few strands that weren't meant to be cut the last time I did this.

I understood this thread but I was cringing! First I thought... why would you use a dipilatory in the kitchen? Then I read it and felt dumb. Dumb as hell. Now I'm feeling slow and disturbed (still cringing lol)

When I had my hair cut old Halle short I always had it tapered (shaved). I have sensitive skin but I never had any irritation.

I think this is your best bet.

Yep, that's what I do, and I never get irritation.

I just let my kitchen grow wild and free (see siggy pic). I never thought to get it trimmed up - except when I had a short haircut.

That's what i do. I just don't worry about it anymore. :)

fir those still confused, the "kitchen" is the hair at the nape of your neck

instead of a razor try clippers, you can cut it very low but not bald so it wont be hair in the way and you wont get bumps
