digi cams

since ive been semi transitioning ive falling in love with my new growth and my natural hair which ive never seen in my life. id love to create an ablum to keep track of it. but it would help if i had a good digital camera, the one i have is horrid for taking close ups. it comes out as one big blur. does anyone know of a good $200- $500 digital camera that does close ups well?

Kodak makes some of the best digital cameras. You can get one for under $200 bucks.

I use a Canon Power Shot and it works great too! It's about $300.

i want a digital camera for christmas. then i'll be able to start a hair journal. i wanted to get a canon, they're ranked as the top digital cameras.

Olympus Camedia C700 ( '01 version) I'm sure there is a more recent one....but its fabulous.....

Girl, I wish I could, and really should be able, to give you a recommendation for a particular camera. The reason is because I must be the only person that has taken sooooo long to make a finalized purchase on one camera.

My present trial digi is a Canon Power Shot G5. I like the Canon and Kodak cameras because I find the color quality of the subject is true to life without having to make major adjustment in settings IMHO. I also like 4 mega pixel cams with 10x optical zoom or 5 mega pixel for taking shots that will allow me to get close up at the time of taking the picture or when using a computer cropping program post taking the pic without distorting.

Though I don't have a camera to suggest within the price range you gave (thinking your talking about after taxes) but I can share a link with you with some purchasing and things to consider tips when purchasing a digi cam. Without "Re-inventing the wheel here again" the link is called Digital Cameras HTH as well!

That's not so. I hate to be indifferent but the pics I take are with a 2 megapixel camera. The more megapixels the more expensive camera. I don't suggest getting anything lower than 2 mp though. Good Luck finding one you like!

Let me see if I can clear this up a little.

Your both right kinda sorta.

It all depends on how you take the picture, how close up you want it, how much detail you want, what you do after you take the picture, and etc. (ex: full body cropped to hairline only later via computer, etc.). And then all cameras of same pixel are not created equal (the lens could possibly be a minimal factor from one brand to another).

My recomendation is to know how you want to go about accomplishing what it is that you want to do and then go somewhere like Circuit City (if they still have a no restock fee for returns) try it and see if it will meet your needs. I hope this is found to be helpful as well. No need in spending more money than what is necessary for your needs.
