What is the difference between the salon stove curling irons ( i think they call them marcels)
-And the electric flat irons and curling irons-

What can you buy that will come close as possible w/o requiring a stove? A ceramic curling iron w/ the highest heat you can find?

It seems thats the only thing my hair responds to- a stove curling iron. :perplexed

I use both, and I find the my cheapo Revlon curling iron works great...It's not even ceramic. HTH.

The main difference is that there is no temperature guage on marcel irons. Once heated, they must be tested on a piece of white paper before placing in the hair. When used properly, they give hair the best looking texture.
