This is a little poem that I wrote and I just wanted to share with my sisters. I hope you like it.
DIE EMPTY
I want to die empty, I once heard someone say
For in the graveyard millions of dollars lay
I want to die empty I had to shout
Of every book, song, and poem I want it out.
To touch those in this life that I’ve been assigned to
With words of wisdom, fresh as the morning dew
What are the benefits of books, poems, dreams, and sermons in the grave?
None, but if you die empty a soul might be saved.
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and touch not one life?
Not one son, or daughter a husband or a wife
Does dying empty means wealth untold and life on happy street
No, but it does mean that your divine assignment on earth was complete
Because every gift that God has given you is to be given away
Die empty and touch a soul and change the world today.
What if I have no books or poems or songs or messages to shout?
My friend die empty of, unforgiveness, hate and doubt.
If you still don’t think you have anything to give or nothing to do
There’s a world of lost souls to be witnessed to.
God has placed all of us here to fulfill his purpose, his will and his plan
And if you think you can’t, think again because you can
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, the blueprint to succeed
God is a good God he’s already given you everything you need
So let’s be about our Father’s business, go on and stir up your gift
Just remember the race is not given to strong or the swift.
For me it’s about when I stand before God and my race has been run
