I have seem some post were people are saying that they got an inch in a month! So, I want to know what you all did to get this inch. I know that they were all achieve different ways so I would like to know what they are, please. Also, if you are getting an inch what is your regular grow per month.

My growth is driven but what I put in my body and on my hair, literally. My growth spurt (two inches in a very short time) came last spring and I haven't seen it since but I record everything I do so that I can duplicate the same results. /images/graemlins/smile.gif For me, protein shakes (3 a day), very little sugar, no cafffeine, and no heat are key to gaining an inch in a month. After I practiced this for at least two months I noticed my hair growing with ease. I say two months because it took that long to get off the Starbucks coffee and take better care of my hair and body.

I can get an inch (or more!) in a month in the fall/winter...I have growth spurts during that time of year, but my hair grows slowly otherwise.

hey brittany...

some months during the year my hair grows an inch at a time... i do not do anything special (at least not that i am aware of)to achieve this...my hair has been growing like this since i can remember...i think my hair is genetically programmed to grow this way..... /images/graemlins/wave.gif

it only grew an inch a month over the summer at the crown only. i contribute it to my consumption of protein shakes, exercise and daily washing.

same with me anky. i got an inch over the summer in june and july in my crown area. dont know what i attribute it to because i didnt do anything different than my usual, running 3-5 times per week and moisturizing

What kind of protein shakes and how many grams are in each? I can't leave the soda alone though /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

I drink Atkins Advantage chocolate shakes. /images/graemlins/lick.gif They're at Sam's Club, Wal-Mart and Vitamin Shoppe. Warning, it's an acquired taste. hehe /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I've gotta get back in the saddle here. Eliminate the soda and start again with the protein/MSM shakes and tuna salads.

I got an inch the first month I did co washes everyday and first started taking biotin daily, I think my hair and body got used to that after awhile since I'm only getting 1/2-3/4 inch now but that's better than nothing!

I wish I knew..I get .5 inches a month at one point and then I get more at another month. I trimmed my hair 3 times this year. and as of now Im at exactly 6.5 inches of hair. So Im estimating that I can get almost 8 inches of growth in the back, and a little over 6 in the front. Maybe It was the multivites /images/graemlins/smile.gif

What helped me was to use protective styling whenever i wear my hair down i always have my hand in it...so i braid it up so i cant get to it and do a sewin....I have been taking biotin and zinc i just upped the dosages of them to see if that gives me even more growth...

I wash my hair every week and co wash every two days sometimes daily...

I spray my braids with motions nourishing leave in but i might go back to using surge or infusium...

i apply shea butter to the newgrowth...wgo to my scalp and nexxus biotin cream...some times i put murrays shea butter protectant on my scalp and newgrowth the night or day before i wash it...

And im eliminating heat that was my main problem i used to flat iron my hair everyday and afteri colored my hair and continued to flatiron everyday it looked so bad!!!:(

so even if my edges are nappy i dont press them gel them down and wrap them with a silk scarf....and texturize every 4-5 months but i dont think i will make it this time...lool so probably 3-4

-Washing my hair 2x a week

I can always get at least an inch a month with a full head weave. If I wear a full head weave in the summer when it is really hot I can get 1.5 inches a month. I really can't understand how this works but I know it does.

I've gotten an inch in a month a few times, most of the time when I wear braids and when I remember to take ALL of my vitamins faithfully I usually average out an inch.
