Did a little research...

After reading all of the post about the Motions comics, I decided to research to find out who their parent company was (cuz you know they aren't balck owned). I found this link to Mrs Dash (salt, who knew??). Apparently, Motions is owned by Albeerto-Culver, the folks who brought us Alberto VO5, St. Ives Swiss Formula, TCB, FDS for women, Soft N Beautiful, Just for Me, and Mrs. Dash. They also own SALLY'S!!! Which is why the comics were being passed out there.

Check it out...you never know WHO'S behind some of these companies....

True. ValleyGirl listed this in a post a day or two ago.

Ohh, oops! I didn't know she had already stated that. I couldn't believe that they owned Sally's as well. I think MOST of the hair companies that we partonize are white-owned. I think there a few that are black-owned but I am not sure which ones they are.

LD, I believe that the majority of them are. This doesn't have to be turned into a race issue, but it really pisses me off how whites portray us. Someboy had to okay those comic strips in order for them to be printed and distributed. Granted I've seen sisters act that way in the beauty the beauty supply store, but don't generalize. That isn't cool at all. /images/graemlins/mad.gif
