I am pleased with my hair right now. Thanks to the raw egg cocktail, my growth is really taking off. I'd like to learn how to detangle my hair gently because I'm dealing with head ache issues right now. Thanks in advance, ladies.:yep:

I will be doing a post on this later this week on how I detangle my hair :) Check out my blog and subscribe to stay updated. I am extremely tender headed and natural

One thing I know for sure that helped me with detangling my hair was using a pick to comb my hair. Not the plastic all black pick, but the big, metal wide tooth pick with the black handle. It is just about the only utensil I use to comb my hair because I am so tender headed. It helps with limited breakage (versus using a comb) and picking through new growth. Hope that helps.

I notice when I use a seamless comb I get less snags and I can work through my hair much easier than combs with seams.

Holding the hair at the root while I work from the ends up.

Going through with my fingers first then a comb

those are some things that really help ease detangling for me. HTH

Im tenderheaded also, but i think if you find the perfect conditioner for your hair with a lot of slip, you won't have a problem. The tangles should melt away when the wide comb hits your hair.

Yeah, looking to change my products right now. I'm also trying to research You tube and NP. My progress is too good to give up. I will attempt finger combing first. I just have to be patient and learn how to do it.

What is the egg growth cocktail... I'm too tender headed, too... Usually I just let the salon comb it during braid day...

I wash, condition (with plastic cap for about 1-1/2 hours without heat), and detangle my hair in 7 or 8 braids, plus I used Infusium 23 Leave in Conditioner (as a detangler). This works very well with my below the bra clasp type 4a/b hair. I detangle my hair with a K-Cutter.

Pre-pooing also helps with detangling efforts. It loosens up the tangles heavily and the use of condish when u wash completely melts most of them. Im relaxed, but I'm sure this works for naturals too.
