All the talk about summer no heat challenges, vacays, and fun in the sun got me to wanting some braids. I usually only braid with human hair b/c it looks better to me and it seems to be less damaging to my own hair (correct me if I'm wrong here), but I don't want to spend more than $100 (for two bags) on the hair since it'll only be in for the summer. Can anyone recommend a store in the Los Angeles area or an online site that sells quality human hair for cheap?
Thanks

I don't know what quality you need, and I'm not on the West Coast, but I've bought fairly good hair at the local BSS. I don't think I've ever spent over $100 at the BSS for two bags. Lucky's Mom might be able to recommend some place in CA since she's around those sides. She's gonn' be my contact next time I need to buy human hair so she can check it out for me and mail it to me instead of me just trusting mail order. While we discussed expensive hair, I have a feeling she might know of cheaper hair. PM her in case she doesn't see this thread before it's buried.

I'm in LA and I don't know where to get human hair for braiding. I only use the regular 2 for 5$ Black & Gold kanekalon hair. It's never done me wrong. Definitely try PM'ing Lucky'sMom because her braids always look great.

This is the hair I use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001OIOLJS/ref=ox_ya_oh_product

It's Hollywood Italian French Deep Wave, I've been using it for years. I used to pay $75-80 a pack for this hair at the bss, then I found it on Amazon for only $29.99. It's weave hair, but I just cut the weft off...it looks exactly the same as the bulk hair for braiding.
