my stylist recommended that i use a denman brush to remove the shed hair when i take my braids down.

can i use this diane brush instead or is it better to just buy a denman?

not sure if it will work the same.

(my hair is 3c, fragile and texlaxed, if that info is needed)

any suggestions ladies?:perplexed

I don't know. I have this Denman brush

and like how it helps me detangle my natural hair without losing massive amounts of hair. I have a brush similar to your Diane brush that I use for my wigs. The Denman brush is has hard inflexible brushes with a hard body. My cushion brushes body moves when I brush through my wigs. I have heard that people don't like brushes like the Diane brush because of the little balls that may snag your hair and pull it out. But it could work.

The only difference I see is the little balls at the tips on the Diane brush, these may get caught in the hair. The Denman brush has no balls on the tips, so detangling may be easier.

thanks ladies....i'm scurred of brushing :)

...so i just decided to use a wide tooth comb to get the shed hair after i took the braids down.

it seemed to work ok. def better than just using my fingers.
