How can u tell which one you need?

Just when u think u've learned everything there is to know about hair care, u find something new. I've noticed that whenever my hair becomes dry from overprocessing, oil treatments (ie. amla oil) seems to give my hair what it needs. Before my problems w/color etc. deep conditioning w/a moisturizing conditioner and c/o washes seemed to do the trick.

Can someone break this down for me scientifically or at least give me some reasoning? :)

I can only speak for myself but

I use deep moisturizing treatments when my hair feels dry. I use oil when it looks dry and is unmanagable but feels moisturized.

If you notice that your hair responds well to oil keep using it. I do my oil treatments like many ladies here......Overnight and then shampooed out and followed with deep conditioning the next day.

I use more oil treatments when I need to tame my newgrowth. I usually use Alma oil.

Thanks for the reply, gymfreak. Hmmm... look vs feel.... interesting. :scratchch
