10mins, 20mins, 30mins, 40mins, an hour, in order to get the ultimate benefit?

I've found that 20 mins is enough for me

Sent from my iPhone using LHCF

I DC-ed with heat for the first time yesterday for 35 minutes. Before, I DC-ed for at least 60 minutes to get the same effects. I have a lot of hair though.

15-20 is usually sufficient for me.

I have found that it varies with the conditioner I am using. I have used Kenra MC and it seemed to work better the longer it sat on my hair. However, I use TW herbal conditioner and I can get great results in 20 minutes.

I also use Kenra and I must DC for at least 30 mins (w/ heat) to get great results :ohwell:. I normally DC overnight though :look:

I like to do at least 30 mins of dcing w/ heat but I have gone as far as 1 hour w/ heat.

I used to dc for an hour under the dryer, but have come to find that 45 minutes will give the same results. :yep:

20 minutes. I'll do it for an hour if I'm being lazy and don't feel like washing it out right away also....

Anywhere between 30mins-1hr with heat. For me the 30mins is the minimum.

I dc for about 45 min to an hour. I read in a book somewhere you apply conditioner and sit under the dryer for about 15-30 min, then go apply more conditioner to your hair and sit under the dryer again for about 15-30 min. Ive found this method to be very effective in improving the softness of my hair. Heat timing may also depend on the type of conditioner you use as well. I only use ntm and nexxus humectress and I don't have good results when I don't use any heat or use minimal amounts of heat with these products.

I agree. Pantene gets my hair the softest with Tresemme as a close second, and I only need to DC for an hour, or 30-45 minutes with heat. But when I use Garnier Fructis, it takes longer to get the same effect.

I can barely stand 20 minutes under the dryer because the heat is unbearable.
