Deep Conditioner Question

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that I'm not about to ask a question that has already been answered here before.

Im looking to deep condition this morning and I dont intend to use heat. No time to sit under the dryer, to much to do.

Can I use Victorias Secret So Sexy condish(which I love) as a deep conditioner?

Also I plan on air drying, but want my roots straight and they never get that way from air drying. How can I achieve that?

I'm trying to stay away from direct heat, but I want the somewhat straight look. Is it so bad to just flat iron the roots?

I usually relax every 5 weeks because I need it(my new growth gets really, really thick), but I'm 5 weeks now and plan on going to 8 weeks.

Any help that you ladies can offer would be mucho appreciated.

yes, you can.. I would def. add some oils though (EVOO,Coconut Oil,Jojoba Oil,Castor Oil) added to the conditioner to make it a DC. Also, apply a plastic cap over your head, which allows the DC to penetrate better.
and idk how you can get ur roots as straight as you want them w/o using heat..you may have too... i noticed that on my 4b hair, using ORS olive oil in the jar helps straighten my new growth. You may want to look into aplying a leave in conditioner.. i used cantu shea butter on wet hair. it really does a good job at managing my hair.

I love the smell of VS So Sexy. Y-u-m-m-y!! My only suggestion is to embrace that awesome new growth! Since you have been relaxing often, you are probably not use to having new growth. Good luck on your 8 week stretch. I'm 10 weeks post going to 20-26 weeks this time. Yikes!

I don't know if there's anyother way to keep it straight. When I airdry, I use the scarf method. The scarf keeps my new growth flat and straight. I usually wear a bun after airdrying, so my deep new growth is not showing.

I know its off topic but you look really physically fit Salsa in your signature pic!

Anywhoo I wish i had enough hair to throw into a bun of any kind. I also need to get a moisturizing condish to DC with. I have a protein condish. Moisture is so hard to get around here. :(

Yeah, when I do a deep conditioner I apply EVOO, Castor oil and Coconut oil. The only thing that usually gets my new growth straight besides the flat iron is to wet wrap and I dont want to use that. It is a lot of manipulating. I dont know for sure what my hair type is, but I'm guessing that it's 4b or possibl even 4c.

Salsa, I'm used to having new growth. When I get to the five week mark, I always have new growth. If I got to five weeks and didn't have any, I wouldnt dare relax. Last time I tried to stretch I made it as far as 6 weeks and I went to comb my hair and darn near cried. I lost a lot of hair when I combed, plus factor in the fact that i'm as tender headed as the day is long so imagine the headache.
