I know that this is a no-lye relaxer but I was wondering if anyone has used this? If so, how did you like it?

Deep Brilliance has both a lye and no lye relaxer product. There have been threads on the relaxer before.

There were mixed reviews but the majority felt DB was way too mild to be effective. I had an app of the lye based formula, left on for a short time to texturize--but it didn't loosen enough and left my hair feeling as if nothing was done.

I just recently purchased this relaxer and I am going to try it this weekend..I have to get the reconstruct conditioner and leave in spray so that I can apply it..

Certain BSS carry the line or salons like JC Penney and Wal Mart Salons (in certain areas only).
Deep Brilliance, by Farouk, is considered a salon line, and the relaxers are supposed to require a cosmetitian license. Although the Asian store in my area will sell salon relaxers to anyone.

I think that this relaxer is very effective. it is mild, but it allows for more application time, which for my thick hair, is good.

My hairdresser used to relax with DB, but has since switched to Phyto. I was a big fan of the relaxer. I think she used the Sensitve "no-lye" formula. I liked the fact that it didn't burn and didn't smell like harsh chemicals. I have seen the line in select Sally's. It's worth giving it a try if your looking for a good professional product.

It works for some and not others. It is mild, and I really wanted to like it as I like their other products. But maybe Supergirl and I are hair type twins, cause it didn't straighten.

In fact, it left my hair frizzy which has caused a problem with demarcation and unruly/uneven texture. Some of my hair processed to spirals and some to frizzy, dry looking coils.
