Hits - Mane 'n' Tail original shampoo and conditioner, revitalizing cream, left my hair feeling very soft. Wild growth oil, seemed to work well with the castor oil.
Using olive oil as a hot oil treatment, works very well, works much better, than using pure castor oil.

Big Hit: K-cutter comb

Another big hit: Maxi Professional Hair Polisher and Loreal Vive Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Cream. I used these 2 products when I rollerset my hair the other day and they straightened my 7 weeks of newgrowth like nobody's business.

Hits:
EQP Creme Conditioning Shampoo (I'm still a loyal MNT fan! Just wanted to use up some of my samples)
Lottabody Wrapping Cream
Dark & Lovely Ultra Cholesterol
Organics Shea Butter and Tea Tree Oil Moisturizer
Surge Motion Lotion #9

Next to try:
Salerm 21
Elasta QP DPR-11
Razac Leave-In Conditioner

: Verifen Complex Oil for the Hair and Constant Care for Ends

:ban: : Verifen Complex Moisture Emphasis shampoo and conditioner

Okay, I tried to join the Mane & Tail club today. I bought my bottle of M & T conditioner at Sally's and couldn't wait to try it.

Well, my hair let me know in no uncertain terms that it is NOT trying to join that club. I only tried it on one section of my hair, and it felt just WEIRD and totally brillo-like and unhappening.

I should have known better. My hair seldom likes anything new.

So I'm glad the M & T is working for so many other ladies, but it was a big miss for me.

Got some things in a swap.. so far so good..

HITS: Giovanni 50:50 Balanced Hair Remoisturizer.. my hair is REALLY soft & it has great ingredients!

Fortunately, I have the starter kit. I need to change my post...I have only tried Cleanser, Scalp Therapy, and Bionutrient Moisturizing Treatment {which is now gone because I followed the instructions}. With the starter kit, you only get samples of the Silk Elixir which I have not used. So now I only have the Cleanser and Scalp Therapy left which came in 5.1 ounces each. Granted I have more of the Cleanser left. I'm not sure if you would be interested in the cleanser {by itself}.

Unfortunately no. I think this line works best if all products are used together. I also have the starter kit. I used every thing in the box except the gel. My hair has gotten so many compliments this week! Ill just order more from ebay!

Hit:Rysell's Aloe Vera Treatment.

Miss: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Sheer Hydration Leave-In Foam

Ill! I don't think it was meant for type 4b's.

I got mine from ebay also. The main problem I had was that it caused huge brown flakes on my scalp. I think it was from the treatment which is now gone. At first I thought about getting the treatment again but then I started noticing brown flakes..that seemed to be worse than the Surge {which also caused brown flakes on my scalp}. I thought by using this that I would detoxify my scalp from Surge but it caused the same problem. I did email the Nioxin Labs and they said it was a form of "exfoliation". The thing is you can wash and scrub your hair and scalp{even scratch it with a comb first} but the flakes come up after you have just washed your supposedly clean hair and scalp. The only thing that is sort of good is that my hair is very thick and coily at the roots...this may be a good thing because the last time this happened I had a significant amount of growth {first time from Surge} it's kind of bad thing because my hair is not manageable...even when I saturate it with moisturizers {my hair is not chemically enhanced but I've never had this problem before}. I'm afraid it will break at the ends because of this and therefore the growth will not be retained. As always {when trying growth enhancing sprays like Surge and in this case Nioxin}, I abstained from hair vitamins and supplements to see if the product(s) stimulate growth on their own...I will know next week when I press my hair.

Sebastian Laminates Cleansing Polish - this stuff stripped my hair something serious and made it dry. Good thing this was a sample.

Warning! Long because I haven’t posted about my products in a while!

Queen Helene Jojoba Moisturizing Creme-Very nice. Left my hair soft and gave good slip. I would recommend it for those like myself whose hair doesn't mix too well with cholesterol conditioners. I was surprised it was so good because it was so cheap. I've never heard of it before either.

Dark & Lovely Intense Moisturizing Conditioner-Good. I would purchase it and use it again.

NTM Leave In-I've tried this several times. It goes on well but then it makes my hair tangled and sticky. I've given up on this product.

NTM Conditioner-I don’t know if I’ve ever posted about this one, but I really like it. Very moisturizing. Gives a lot of slip.

Hot Six Oil-I used this because I couldn't find the Razac Hot Oil Treatment. Okay, a little to watery for my taste. Would probably work very well as a mixture with a conditioner for pre-shampoo treatment.

Motions Lavish In--I can't believe that I waited so long to try this!! I absolutely love it! As much as I love Motions products, I didn't purchase this one because I thought it was similar to their Neutralizing shampoo. But while it's similar, it's different and I absolutely love it.  up:

Suave Milk& Honey-I really like this conditioner. I especially like it as a pre-shampoo treatment with hot oil conditioner and honey and olive oil.

Suave Tropical Coconut-I like this conditioner and it works well. It also works equally as well as a pre-shampoo treatment. I used it the same way as I did above.

CB Smoothe Cooling Scalp Nutrient-I haven’t used this since my stylist used it to base my scalp. But my goodness, when I find out where to buy it, it will be one of my staples. It’s a very soothing hot oil treatment with peppermint in it. Perfect for basing the scalp before a relaxer.

Generic Curl Activator Gel (I think it’s called Vita Lite or something like that, it’s green and white lettering)-brought this from Wal-Mart and I really like it. Can’t think of the name for it (I know that helps) but it didn’t leave my hair sticky and nasty, it moisturized, smoothed my curls and especially close to touch up time. Great replacement for me for S-curl and the other activator gels that I’ve tried.

Affirm Lye Relaxer Regular---Finally a perm that gently relaxes my hair and actually gets it straight! As I posted before, goodbye Motions.

All Ways Leave In/Oil Moisturizer-excellent moisturizer

Pantene Relaxed & Natural Light Conditioning Spray-works as well as the original and keeps my hair moisturized

Products I've Gone Back To:

African Pride Wonder 8 Oil-I used to use this back in the day. What I do now is combine it with one of the Suave conditioners (Milk and Honey or Tropical Coconut) and add my olive oil (pure or virgin) and some honey (the cheapest kind the better). I put them all into a 16 oz. applicator bottle and shake it up. I got this idea from someone else's post about using the Milk & Honey as a pretreatment.

Fantasia IC Deep Penetrating Creme Moisturizer-I didn’t purchase this for awhile, but I went back to it when I was looking for a protein-moisturizing combo in a condr. It’s excellent for that.

I'm very proud to report that I've been a good girl & haven't really purchased new products since October. The got2b smooth hair creme is the bomb. Left it at my aun'ts on turkey day in Jersey & told them it'd better still be at the same level come Christmas day when I get back there! My bad, I did pick a bottle of herbal essences light mousse today for $2.
