I forgot to get the DDTA while I was out today; I was going to go back to the Big Lots and grab all I could find. I've never used the DDTA but did anyone say how they liked the DD Lily stuff??? I saw some of that there as well...

I think I have a 3 year supply because I found DDTA in a discount store for 50 cents this summer and bought 50 bottles.
I mailed out a few to hairbuddies and I still see it Big Lots in other towns when shopping.
I will try to get some for you when I go out of town again.

You and Cincy have me crying over here! I thought I had a lot of bottles, I've got probably a year supply myself!

Girl,It was the pic of your cabinet that made me stock up like crazy.
I just found 20 more bottles at a Big Lots today and I ran for a shopping cart.
I think there is plenty more floating around in Bargin stores just waiting to be
bought.

Ladies, I swear I can't wait to use my DDTA and be as happy as you guys are! From the raves, this is what I would call some reconditioned creamy crack!!! I'll see when I finally use it I guess!

Wow LABETT, LaNecia you ladies are stocking up! I hate that I didn't try it before they discontinued it. There was a whole box of nothing but the DDTA and DDGB at a Flea Market for .50 a bottle of which I could have talked him down to .25 and gotten the whole kit and kaboodle!!!!! I can't wait to see if that man is there tomorrow, I will be stocking up.

I used the DDTA as a leave-in last night and it left my hair oh so soft! I haven't tried COing with it yet. If I don't like it I'll just sell it to you guys.

metalkitty- if I am able to score the the DDGB I'll let you know. PM me your e-mail addy because my time posting here is running out....If you don't hear from me, just visit my fotki.

VW, is that a top or a dress in your last pic? That is really pretty!!

Thank you!! It's a top actually, it has a type of yarned top over a lined inside top. I purchased it from Charlotte Russe last month for $10 on the clearance rack!

Hello everyone,

Please forgive me if someone else posted this, but like a lot of you, I've been looking for a substitution for the DDTA. Well, I've found that Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal for dry/damaged hair is practically identical in terms of consistency, slip, and moisturizing. It has the same exact ingredients listed in the same order as the DDTA. And low and behold... they are both made by the same company, Proctor and Gamble. I bought it for 1.99 at Big Lots for 6.8oz compared to the DDTA I bought for .89 for 13.5oz.

Hope this helps...

pattycake thanks SO much for posting this!

While I was home (South Carolina) for Thanksgivings I found a large bottle of the dd Water lily at Big Lots. Sadly they did not have any Tender Apple. I hope that the WL gives me the same results as the TA. I am very excited and can't wait to try it after all of the rave reviews.

Okay Ladies, I'm fairly new and have already read about the rave on DDTA. So, I went out and bought a bottle of DDTA. I haven't used it yet, but now I'm thinking I need some more. :)

Nobody's has said what it is they really like about DDTA. Please share what it is you like about this so called "creamy crack" and what it does for you?

Ladies, I went back to the Big Lots today on Wade Green Road in Kennesaw, and I got an additional 12 bottles (all they had) of DDTA. The sales guy looked at me funny and already knew the story. He told me one other lady came in and got about 30 bottles and told him she was getting so much because it is being discontinued. He says "this stuff must really be good!!"

I also saw the Ginseng Boost and the Water Lily but left those for someone else to get:lol: . I did use the DDTA earlier today when I pooed and I was really loving the slip I got when I con'd with the DDTA! My comb glided through my hair like silk and no tanglies at all!

I finally used my ddwl and I love it!! It was thick and gave my hair a nice slip, I was never able to detangle my hair so easily. I hate that I only purchased one bottle! I emailed the company to see what the ddta/ddwl sub is. I will post with the info when I get a reply.

Yeah, the Big Lots got 'em.

Pattycake: How does the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal for dry/damaged hair work as a leave-in?

I'm hooked on the DDTA as a leave-in...go figure.... :ohwell:

Pantene now has a version of Daily Moisture Renewal called Winter Rescue. I wonder what that's about...I'm going to investigate at CVS later...I'm going to try to find DDTA in my area though since it seems to be sooo cheap and everyone loves it.

When I gave the review, I used the Pantene for a conditioner wash. Since then I've used it for a leave in and unfortunately, it is not as good as the DDTA. It felt coated...but then again, I could have been due for a shampoo.

But... I found something else. While at Big Lots, again, I picked up the very last bottle of DDTA in stock but I also picked up the Daily Renewal 5X Retame Conditioner for hard to manage hair. I used this as a conditioner wash and leave-in and in my opinion, it is a great replacement for DDTA. The only complaint I have with it is the fragrance. I can't explain it...but it smells chemical-like, not fresh and fruity like the DDTA. It leaves my hair nice and soft (and I have all natural, shoulder-length and veeeery kinky hair) I think its worth a try at 1.49 for a 13.5 oz bottle and it has the exact ingredients as the DDTA made by Proctor and Gamble.

For those who are still testing conditioners and looking for a DDTA replacement, I think the key (and I could be wrong) is the conditioners that are marketed for daily use that are moisturizing and clean rinsing.

Sorry for the long post guys but I wanted to share!!!
