When I gave the review, I used the Pantene for a conditioner wash. Since then I've used it for a leave in and unfortunately, it is not as good as the DDTA. It felt coated...but then again, I could have been due for a shampoo.

But... I found something else. While at Big Lots, again, I picked up the very last bottle of DDTA in stock but I also picked up the Daily Renewal 5X Retame Conditioner for hard to manage hair. I used this as a conditioner wash and leave-in and in my opinion, it is a great replacement for DDTA. The only complaint I have with it is the fragrance. I can't explain it...but it smells chemical-like, not fresh and fruity like the DDTA. It leaves my hair nice and soft (and I have all natural, shoulder-length and veeeery kinky hair) I think its worth a try at 1.49 for a 13.5 oz bottle and it has the exact ingredients as the DDTA made by Proctor and Gamble.

For those who are still testing conditioners and looking for a DDTA replacement, I think the key (and I could be wrong) is the conditioners that are marketed for daily use that are moisturizing and clean rinsing.

Sorry for the long post guys but I wanted to share!!!

Now see, I'm starting to catch on to something here. I've never considered using my conditioners for leave-ins until these DDTA posts. Well, there was a thread started by Supergirl about everything being a leave-in, however, all I was using at the time was VO5. I heard that Nexxus Humectress was a good leave-in but I had my beloved Salerm 21 of which I have been out of for months...

I was using the Daily Renewal 5x when after I first joined the board and it did NOTHING for my hair, not moisture, not softness NOTHING. YET, I never considered using it as a leave-in. The DDTA is the same way, I see nothing special about it when doing COs yet as a leave-in....:yay: it is wonderful! Hmmmm...I don't want to buy a whole bottle of the 5x and then it STILL doesn't work...I think I'll request a sample, if possible, and review it that way....If I do buy the bottle and still don't like it...shoot...I'll send it to Komb v Dymond...she likes that stuff....

ladies how do I use DDTA as a leave in? tia
After washing and rinsing, I just squirt a little in my hand and rub through my sections then proceed to apply moisturizer or whatever and style.

I'm new to this whole DDTA thing and I want to make sure that purchase the right one...

Is DDTA for Dry/Damaged/Color-Treated Hair the same one that everyone is raving about?

Thanks in Advance :)
