I'm searching too. I have about 5 bottles left but I've been picking up other conditioenrs here and there. See, I love DDTA's thick consistency and it just makes my hair feel wonderful. The consistency also allows me to use it for more than just cw's and keep my products at a minimum! As soon as I try another conditioner, I can immediately tell if it's going to give me the same results. I've tried

V05 Free Me Freesia (I'm going to give this a few more tries but I really wasn't impressed)
Avalon Organics Lavender Nourishing Conditioner (consistency wasn't there, but it is moisturizing)
Alba Mango Moisturizing Hair Conditioner (smelled great in the bottle, started to smell sickening on my head so I really don't remember how well it worked)

i think I may try Aussie next.

thanks angellazette! The LOVELY Kimberly is letting me purchase 4 from here this Sat but after that I don't know where I am going to get my DD TA 'fix' from.:(

I still have probably 2 years supply, I found some recently at Big Lots, so if you have 1 in your area you may want to check them out. Had to look for my alternative before my supply dwindles, the closest I have found so far is Tresemme Vitamin E moisture rich.

yeah and I have been stingy with it, I had been raving about DDTA to my sister and reco'd she use it on my niece, I have the large and small bottles, I pulled out a large bottle to give her, by the time she made it to my house she got a small bottle

If I happen to find another 20 bottle stash like I did recently and yes I bought them all :look: I'll share with ya

Thanks CBC! Keeps fingers cross that you find more DDTA and are willing to share ;) .

I think I have a 3 year supply because I found DDTA in a discount store for 50 cents this summer and bought 50 bottles.
I mailed out a few to hairbuddies and I still see it Big Lots in other towns when shopping.
I will try to get some for you when I go out of town again.

You just made my day!!:kissing4: Get as many as you can I just let me know how much.

THe closest I've found to DDTA is DDWL (Daily Defence Water Lily, ususally sold at same locations that sell DDTA)... Tresemme conditioners are very similar to DDTA & DDWL

have you found a replacement, yet? If so can you post what it is?

thanks in advance ladies

Tresemmé Vitamin E Moisture Rich is very similar to DDTA. I use the poo and conditioner.

My hair hates DDWL it just sits on my hair this conditioner is plentiful in my area everyone want DDTA.
Suave Milk & Honey is the next alternative for DDTA for me which is getting hard to find lately I will be stocking up on this one soon.

Tishee, I've got a few bottles that I'd be willing to part with...but shhh...don't tell anybody. :sekret: I was a DDTA pusher for another lady on the board, and if you got the money, I got the stuff.

I actually saw DDWL at the Dollar store too when I went to buy DDTA and I was wondering how similar they were. Next time I go back, I'll pick that up if they are out of my beloved DDTA. I only started using it this September, but as long as I can find it, there will be no turning back for me.

Well now i'm glad that i never had the pleasure of using DDTA because i couldn't find it. I was desperately seeking it but now i'm glad i havent' found it cause i ain't gotta go thru withdrawal.... Can't miss what u never had.... :look:

Divine I am pming you right now! ;)

Herbal Essences also has a conditioner.. comes in a pink bottle that I found to give just as much slip as DDTA. I am actually no longer afraid to use up my DDTA since I found it. There was a thread on it not to long ago.... I will come back later and post either the name or bump the thread.

thanks so much!:)

I know that DDTA is a conditioner (Daily Defense Tender Apple), but would someone be willing to give me a testimony on exactly what it does and what makes it different?

I've recently just found this and DD Ginseng Boost at a flea market for .50 a bottle. Sadly, I only bought 4. Don't :hammer: me.... I had been hearing so much about it on the boards since I joined and never gave it a thought....rave came mainly from CharUK and she was transitioning at the time and I was still relaxed so...... :look:

Tell me what you guys do with it. So far I've moopoo'd with it. I'll do a CO and see what happens. I read that some even use it as a leave-in. How many other ladies have used it as a leave-in and what have been your results? If I like it I'll be keeping my eye out for it in thrift and bargain stores, as well as flea markets  ....

Also, give me the low in the Ginseng...it smells great...

I use a whole heap of it as a leave in every day.
I love DDTA. When i run out (i think i only have 2 bottles left,)
i think i'm going to use suave humectress.

Results using ddta as a leave in? very soft, fluffy hair when dry.

I was able to pick up a bottle at Big Lots last week but now after going back and reading all the raves about it, looks like I need to be going back to see if they have more, huh.? I also saw the DD Water Lily or something or another.....I haven't had a chance to use the DDTA yet though...

OT: oh, btw, did I tell you your hair looks full and pretty and thick?

I found out that the ingredients in Aussie Moist and Clairol 5X Daily Renewal for Damaged hair is the same as for DDTA. The textures are different though. The latter are more thick and the DDTA is creamier. All of these are made by the same company, Proctor & Gamble.

Tresemme with Vit E has the similar consistency, but it doesn't give me the slip like the others I named.

I have found the larger bottles of DDTA in Dollar Tree. The poo is nice as well.

HTH

BTW, BlackBarbie, your hair is to die for!
