Lol dax- sgh...alll the memories. That thing was thick and greasy. It had a stank smell it weighed my hair down. And my hair got really thick -smh- i don't use it anymore

My babysitter used to use that stuff on us when we were kids. It was greasy. I remember all of us kids with "greazy" edges and kitchens. My babysitter used the green stuff on the kids and that black stuff w/ sulfer on herself. I guess she had dry scalp, but that black Dax stunk to high heaven! I try to stay away from heavy petroleum or mineral oil products, they clog the scalp. Plus, there are many other options for us now.

Melodee-Oh that must have been bad melodee. Um so the green one doesn't smell much but the black one did.

Elite Chiq-Dax makes your hair thicker cause if it does I wanna use it.

I use the Dax Organic oils Supergro grease/oil. It is really light. It is in a white container with red and blue writting. In the container it appears to be a greasy solid, but when you touch it melts into an oil. It has an African herbal scent.

Ingredients: Petrolatum, Sweet Almond oil, Aloe Vera, Avocado oil, Sunflower oil, Jojoba oil, Sesame oil, wheat germ oil, Safflower oil, Peanut oil, Cottonseed oil, Parfum.

OOOOOOOHhhhhhhh I saw that on the internet I wanna get that one two. Plus I think they sell that in Africa cause I may go to my home country Africa. Thanks for tellin me.

My grandmother swore by Dax. I was looking at their Vegetable Oil Shampoo at the beauy supply store a few weeks ago, CarmenRose. I'll add it to my "to try" list.

SLS is a detergent used in most shampoos that is very drying to the hair. Many on this board try to avoid shampoos with this ingredient.

I know what you talkin about it got to do with somethin Sulphate Sodium Laureth somethingz like that.

Many shampoos do, but some people try to stay away from SLS as lunalight said because it can be drying to the hair.

I also used to use their grease..The black one..It has a strong smell and can weigh the hair down (relaxed) but it was effective..My scalp is very dry and it did help me..But I'm sure there are other products that are just as effective..

DAX shampoo has the following ingredients
Agua, Lauroamphoglycinate & Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Peg-150 Distearate, Polysorbate 20, Sorbitate Laurate, Citric Acid, Boric Acid, Benzophenone-4, Parfum, Benzenemethanol, Methylchloroilothiazolinone & Methylisothiazolinone, Vegetable Oil, FD&C Yellow #5

I'm guessing that Nessa's from Nigeria... Looks like a Nigerian flag.

What the heck is DAX? I've never heard of it.

IneedMoney- I am from Nigeria, well my parents are

MissJ- You are right I am from Nigeria. And Dax is a line of Hair Care products that was made long time ago. It is a grease and shampoo and other stuff. And it is kinda old.
