Callin: all relaxed 4a\'s and 4b\'s

Dear Relaxed 4a and 4b people,

Sorry I am not sayin all hair types but I want to like know all the 4a's and 4b's cause I want to know better about:
1.HOW LONG IS YOUR HAIR?
2.YOUR HAIR REGIMEN
3.HOW YOU MAINTAIN YOUR LENTGH
4.WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS YOU USE?
5.WHAT YOU RECOMMEND

Sorry if this is too much to ask for. I really just want to learn more from everyone and what to do.

P.S.- You really don't have to ask all matter of fact I don't care if you ask just one. I just don't want to ask for too much.

Thank You

1.HOW LONG IS YOUR HAIR? One inch from bra strap in the back and armpit length in front.
2.YOUR HAIR REGIMEN
Until a few months ago I didn't really have a regimen (bad, I know). Now:
Creme of Nature's detangling shampoo for dry hair, I have other shampoos that I use sometimes. I'm still looking for the perfect conditioner, but right now I use Nexxus Humectress or Pantene's smooth and sleek. I deep condition with ORS hair mayo or use the conditioner but add a heat cap to help it penetrate better, since heat opens the hair shaft in my experience using a heat cap has helped greatly. I always use leave in conditioner (my favorite is L'anza Urban Elements leave-in for moisture and Redken's anti-snap for mild protein). Recently I've started sealing the moisture in after the leave-in by applying a light oil or cream like Wild Growth or Elasta QP mango butter. I then rollerset my hair and sit under the drier. For me airdrying makes my hair dry and crispy unless I only wear it up. Wild Growth oil has helped me extend my touchups, I used to use a flat iron to straighten only the newgrowth. I stretch my touchup to anywhere from 2 monthes to 4 monthes depending on how much growth I have. I also use a mixture of castor oil, jojoba oil (to make it less thick), rosemary oil and peppermint as a scalp oil after taking out the rollers, I think that this mixture helps growth.
3.HOW YOU MAINTAIN YOUR LENTGH
By not using heat often, I think that heat can be used in moderation without considerable damage, keeping my hair moisturized, using protein treatments and something I learned from a post by Tracy which is to listen to the needs of my hair day to day, I pay attention to how my hair feels/looks every day and use appropiate products each given day. Oh and about 2x a year I get my hair professionaly trimmed, it's amazing the reaction I got after I evened out some straggly and split ends, people notice the length much more than before and I get less breakage, but avoid scissor happy stylist.
4.WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS YOU USE?
CON shampoo, Nexxus Humectress, ORS hair mayo, Nexxus Emergencee, Nexxus keraphix, Motion's CPR treatment, L'anza protein plus, L'anza deep cleansing shampoo (for clarifying), Frederic Fekkai's apple cider rinse (detangles and clarifies), Profectiv Healthy ends and Fantasia's hair polish.
5.WHAT YOU RECOMMEND
Cream of Nature shampoo (but make sure you use a clarifier once a month)
Nexxus emergencee for protein and ORS hair mayo.
Rollersets
Wild Growth oil to seal moisture in after washing.
Extending relaxer, going to a dominican salon and having only the roots blown straight makes 16 weeks post relaxer look new.
Vitamin supplements, especially b-5 which has made my hair thicker.

Re: Callin: all relaxed 4a\'s and 4b\'s

Length: My hair is shoulder length.

Regimen: I am still trying to develop a good regimen. But, this is what I do currently. I get a rollerset from the salon every two weeks and a touchup every 7-8 weeks. I shampoo with either Elucence MB, Keracare or CON. I use Keracare Essential Oils for the Hair with either the Keracare Leave-In conditioner or the Elucence MB conditioner. I sometimes use Dudley's Fantastic Body Setting Lotion. I also apply Sensitive by Nature Gel Pomade or Biosilk Pomade. I either air dry or sit under the dryer for 45 minutes to an hour. If I air dry, I use the blow dryer for 5 minutes to seal the cuticle.

Maintaining Length: I only use the Ceramic tools curling iron once a week if necessary. I do not use any type of spritz or drying hair spray.

Products: I have a beauty supply store at home. But, I will list the main ones: Keracare shampoo, Elucence shampoo, Cream of Nature shampoo, Elucence Conditioner, Keracare Leave-In Conditioner, Keracare High Sheen Glossifier, Elasta QP Mango Butter, Keracare Lite Oil Moisturizer, Paul Mitchell Foaming Pomade, Design Essentials Reflection Liquid Shine, and Mizani Rose H2O.

I recommend a professional touchup and a good hard bonnet hair dryer.

Re: Callin: all relaxed 4a\'s and 4b\'s

Thisis some great info.. I am definitely going to set a routine now.. becasue I'ts true.. it's true.. we delicate haired sisters truly can GROW it Healthy and strong. Being a 3b mostly.. the 4a in me just won't take everything.. so I am going to start taking care of my ahir a bit more.. even if it means.. wearing it up all the time and maybe even some wigs.

One of the best things I heard of came from dontspeakdefeat, these Tree Braids.. they really look and sound like a winner.

has anyone used suncreen on their hair... being here in Hawaii the sun is intesnse sometime and the ozone is UV is always strong... I have wonderful skin care but. what for my hair.

Re: Callin: all relaxed 4a\'s and 4b\'s

dontspeakdefeat told me, "The tree braids are actually cornrowed back it is about 20 cornrow braids. Some of the synthetic hair is left out to give you the look of having micros or some type of weave." I saw a pic of her hair and I love it. I believe I could rock that hairstlye for a while and actually experiement with different shades without damaging my hair. it's really pretty on her too.

Re: Callin: all relaxed 4a\'s and 4b\'s

.HOW LONG IS YOUR HAIR?- past shoulders...gingerly creaping towards mid back

2.YOUR HAIR REGIMEN- Roller set once a week

3.HOW YOU MAINTAIN YOUR LENTGH -Lightly trim when need it, only use heat on my hair when roller setting

4.WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS YOU USE?- Revlon, Isoplus,KeraCAre, B&B....Relaxer is REvlon Mild

5.WHAT YOU RECOMMEND- REvlon has always been consistantly good for my hair, however often times it is good to change up products to give your hair a change. More expensive product line I would say would be KeraCare...least expensive Isoplus products.
