My hair is just a little past 4 inches and I am getting it braided with extensions into a cornrowed ponytail ( a little past BS when worn down) for the summer. My question is how do I daily add moisture to my hair and what is commonly used? Do I apply it to the length of the braid as well as to the scalp? I'm also doing BT 3x a week. Also (Sorry I'm so full of questions) should I seal after I moisturize even though my hair is braided?

TIA Chicas!

In braids I use a modified Crown & Glory technique, but Sareca has a detailed outline in her fotki. You can also check www.growafrohairlong.com. I spray the length of my hair with diluted Mane N Tail conditioner daily, I've also started a spray mix with my afro detangler and infusium 23 (ran out of MNT) when i think i've had too much protein i alternate with with diluted spray of Bumble Bumble leave-in (rinse out) conditioner or simply drench my cornrows in water.

I use Olive Oil Mouse and African Pride Braid Spray daily. I also apply MTG 3-4x a week. These helped me last summer and I'm hoping for the same results.

I don't have cornrows yet; I plan to cornrow my hair soon. Right now, I have individual braids and I moisturize with a mixture of glycerin, Infusium 23, water and Braid Spray (or Carefree Gold). I know I waste a lot of product trying to seal my extension braids; but, I also seal my hair with WGO. My hair stays moisturize all day and I am able to re-use my hair (I used Milky Way Premium human hair). I took a braid down and my hair was soooooo moist. I LOVE it.

The best braid care advise still comes from Sareca - treat your hair in braids the same as you would treat your hair without braids.

For me, that means wash, condition, deep condition, daily moisture, etc. It has made a huge positive difference for me.
