I sent them an email last year and this is how they responded. HTH!
Dear Ms. ----- ,
Thanks for your query and interest in Dabur Products.
Please note , In order to reduce stickiness and improve spreadability, we add mineral oil . This mineral oil is Pure Light liquid paraffin, which is quite gentle on hair.

Comment : Hello. I''ve sent two other queries to the product section but i haven''t received a response yet. I love your Amla Oil Gold, and I was wondering if you all add mineral oil to this. I know that you add it to the Amla Oil Lite, but on it doesn''t say so on the Gold label. It also doesnt list any other ingredients (like fragrance), so if there is anything else in the Amla Oil Gold besides amla, almond oil, and henna, please list those ingredients as well.
nope not to my knowledge.. i love love this stuff b4 pre poo.. makes my hair so nice when im done doing my regime. i apply it all over my head with olive oil and massage my scalp and then i cover with a plastic shower cap for about an hour or more and then get to washing and conditioning and DC with oil and leave in conditioning the reconstructor and braid to dry and im in the game!!!
The one I have has mineral oil which is why I decided not to use it. Just a personal preference, I know some people have had great success with this oil.
Head is spinning? I don't know why, but ever since I started on the healthy hair kick a few months ago, I seriously think I have a FEAR of mineral oil! lol... I know tons of other things are "bad" for your hair, and I've somehow managed to accept that I just like these things (cones for example) and keep it moving.
It's just something about mineral oil, this man made "crude oil", I dunno, I'm just so bothered by it lately. It's been so vilified in everything that I've read recently, that I'm constantly running away from it like the plague!
But then again, so many of the products I've used and seem to accidentally keep buying have it in them, and I really like these products (posted last night on some great Queen Helene Cholesterol). Think I may have to get over it, just like the cones. Has anyone seen any real amazing hair breakthroughs or growth spurts after eliminating the stuff? I mean I know it's supposedly not good, but just how bad is it, really??
Definitely does, but does so much good for the hair I give them a pass. I use it as a pre poo because that's how my girlfriend (pakistani) said they use it. Middle Eastern women oil the hair at night with the oil of their choice and wash out in the morning. So that's what I do. I only wash once to twice a week, so that's all the amla affect I get for my hair right now.
When I get my hands on some more Amla, I'm just going to make my own. With a box of amla, some coconut oil and a crockpot. I think I'll add some henna, brahmi and brhingaraj powders, too. Make my own little knock off Vatika oil so I can oil my hair with it every day without fear of mineral oil.
