Any of you ladies here know how to do this yourself?

I'm going to try today. I just watched a few youtube videos to get the technique and I think I can do it.

I took my braids out lastnight and I think my hair has grown some :D

some people braid the synthetic hair a little with their hair and then they start twisting. i've also been to a braid shop where they just started twisting at the scalp.

I'm halfways done..... I'm doing them row by row as I undo the cornrows.

I didn't do them on myself but i did them n my 15 year old sister. I made them small and life happens so it took me about 3 days to finish hers. Here are the results. I curled the ends using flexi rods.

Later on , she did like 5 big braids on them and dipped it in hot water to crinkle them

You did a wonderful job on them, Ms. LizziA, and your sister Kayla is too cute with that dimple! :yep:

I learned on my sister, then applied the technique to myself. They're easy to do and look good when finished.

It doesn't look like you are twirling the individual strands of hair while twisting them together. Other than that, they look ok for your first go.

Yea once you dip them in hot water, they pretty much shrink way smaller than you think they will.
