My SO took a picture of me while we were out this weekend and as he walked over to me to get my approval on the pic he asked, "Is this good enough for the blogs" (LHCF). I thought that was so adorable...his way of showing he supports the healthy hair journey

That's sweet.

My bf will search to the ends of the neighborhood when I ask him to keep his eye out for things. The other day I mentioned in passing I wanted some more bottles of WRTC and he came home with four. He also always remembers what relaxer I like, what ingredients I don't like in products and he knows what products I will like based on how they smell because I'm really neurotic about that.

When he sees someone with nice braids he will ask where they get their hair braided and write it down for me in case I decide I want braids again.

What makes it funnier is he's a very big white man who looks mean but the girls at Sally's and at the drugstores just love him.

And he finally keeps out of my hair stuff and stopped cooking with my coconut oil.

My husband is always looking over my shoulder when I am on the board and reading posts. We also look at fotkis together. He has helped me henna my hair. He will ask me when am I going to do another indigo treatment. He also found my hair twin when we were looking at a some posts. He knows the acronyms. He helps me take pictures of my hair. He stretched out my hair and said, "you know...you are almost APL. I think by the end of the year you may be BSL". I just looked at him crazy. Do you even know what that means, I asked. He said, "yeah, arm pit level and bra strap level. I remember what you told me".

Now he sounds like a keepier.

My DH has been very supportive of my transition with no BC. He will not let me give in and relax, always encouraging me because I've come so far.

Last night he was asking me how long people usually transition. I told him that it seems like most people do not go beyond a year because it gets so frustrating. So now he feels like all of us long term transitioners who don't BC will one day be legends.
He's into the idea of us being legendary.:lachen:
I love him!

RosesBlack you made me laugh out loud when you described your man as
"a very big white man who looks mean but the girls at Sally's and at the drugstores just love him." He sounds very sweet and supportive.:yep:

:lachen:LOL

I remember the exact day I decided to wear WnG's more often. He was rushing me to meet him and his family from out of town somewhere so I had to cancel my hair appointment. I was pissed and kindly informed him my hair wasn't done and he said, "Whatever, just hurry up." I got there and before he could introduce me he took both of his hands and put them in my hair and said "THANK YOU!! I love your hair this way." I thought it was so cute and whenver I did it he thought it was a special treat for him. He'd say "I see you're wearing your hair just the way I like it. It's so thick and pretty." While we aren't together anymore, he definitely played a role in me falling in love w/my hair all over again.

My SO dust my hair for me and he watches me flat iron to help me with any missing pieces... Everytime I wanna relax, he goes..."your gonna be tight... its taking you months to grow that relaxer out... wait a few more months and if you really want to it will take mins to put the relaxer back in"

He keeps his sighs to a minimum whenever we walk into a store and i walk right into the hair aisle... or we stop at every bss we see

Lastly, he doesnt think I am crazy when i put my MN in my hair... anymore:look:
