Heads up to the natural ladies in D.C...
I got a referral from another hair site for a place called Salon Cielo in Dupont Circle. There is an Ethiopian woman with natural hair named Yodit that does a wonderful job with natural hair. Apparently, she uses paul mitchell foaming pomade and aveda retexturizing gel for fingerstyling. She also does texturizers using phyto. I'm going to check her out as soon as I do my big chop. I've heard that the one in Pentagon City is good too. I think the recommended stylist's name is Ivy.
