Sorry if there are any grammatical errors, I am using my phone to type this message.

First thing they do is out the kera care clarifying. Ah! The stylist is all excited about telling me how clean my hair will be and I'm sitting freaking out cause he already poured the clarifying shampoo in my head and is steady yapping. Next he pours the moisturizing shampoo in my hair... This may have been a good thing. Next he puts only the conditioner in my hair. I tell him I need a hot oil and he freaks out. He doesn't think that he can pour only the hot oil in my hair with the conditioner.

Mind you when I walked in they were all praising my hair on how good it looked. How healthy and soft....

Just in case. Do you all have any fix what the sylist did treatments for your hair?

I'm sorry i cant answer your question but i just wanted to say have fun getting pampered.
And keep an eye on the stylist at all times and speak up if he's doing anything you don't want done. :):)

I've gotten to the point where i can't even enjoy a stylist...i'm on guard, watching them, eyeballin' their products and techniques. It's hard work! I can't relax. Bummer.

I agree! I asked him if his hot oil treatment had mineral oil...

This is kind of a good experience because a lot of people in here have switched to natural and have mini fros. They are getting their hair trimmed and its so delicious to see! I got a relaxer 3 weeks ago here.....however.. No more. That was my last relaxer. Next time I will get my hair simply trimmed after I hot oil deep condition and dry on my own!

Giselle I am reading your posts but you don't read like you are enjoying yourself.

Are you sure you want him to continue?

Oh man, i know exactly how you feel. :yep: I guess they feel like since they went to school for this then they are the all mighty experts. I have family members that do hair and they love to tell you what you are doing wrong:ohwell:.... I dont even get offended, I just say "yea wateva" and keep going. But I cant help but to laugh inside cuz I know they hate that my hair is growing back without their help. The best thing I ever did for my hair is stop letting them pull, grab and cut.

FYI--- Cosmetology School does not prepare you to work on Black Hair.
I got my liense in highschool. Granted I had a horrible teacher, her hair was frosted and dead, and skin was mess, but for stateboard, all we had to do on a "black hair" maniquin was demonstrat an on base and off base curl with a curling iron.

A comsetologist knowledge of black hair comes from old fashion, trial and error and On the job training, and what mama and 'em taught them back in the day. So if they learned bad information they will repeat bad information.

So YOU can know more than a Licensed stylist, and more than likely you do!!!!!!!!:drunk::spinning::yep::grin:

I think the funniest part is when I was leaving.

The stylist said.."you are doing a great job being apart of your hair growth".

The reason I found it funny is that I only go to them for relaxer. Only today I went because I didn't want to do it myself.

I know you girls know about that!

I had to let them finish. It was only a 20 dollar wash and set :-).
